DOUG COLEMAN was born and raised in South East London, UK.

 

Doug had a fascination with film and TV from a young age through to adulthood. A James Bond fan from young and watching such stars as Sean Connery, Robert De Niro and Al Pacino through the years gave him inspiration to pursue a career as an actor - despite not following the traditional route into acting through drama school.

 

His past achievements in other industries has shown his proven versatility and success in everything that he has set out to achieve.

 

Away from the academic world Doug has played football to a good amateur standard since the age of 6 and has trained in Martial Arts - Tae Kwon Do, Kempo Ju Jitsu and Kickboxing.

 

His interest in sports continued into his time at University where he became a fitness instructor whilst studying for an honours degree in Computer Science.

 

Doug went on successfully from there to spend over twelve years working in the corporate world specialising in IT Solutions Design, before yearning for a change of career and looking to experience all that life had to offer - so he decided to turn his hand to the acting world.

 

He was handed his first role as a Lawyer 'Robert'  in THE TARGET - a film by Raj Rajilal, from there on roles have begun to follow with parts in Paul J Lane's  LONDINIUM and short films NOT LEAVING & SAFEHOUSE with more credits to follow.

 

In addition to acting Doug is also currently writing his own screenplays with two currently at a final draft stage, and several others in development.

Inspired by writers including Ian Fleming and Andy McNab and director/producer Michael Mann - he hopes to produce his written work as feature films in the near future.

 

In his personal life he continues with his interests in sports and fitness, he is a devout Tottenham Hotspur fan and is married to the Model and Actress Maurisa Selene Coleman.
